Stacie Rivers is a Licensed Master Social Worker with extensive experience in working with adolescents and young adults with disabilities and co-occurring disorders. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Mercy College. Ms. Rivers also earned a Master of Social Work from Fordham University in 2002. For 19 years, she worked as a school social worker in Westchester County providing support to students, families, and school personnel. Ms. Rivers has prior experience in overseeing both the administrative and clinical oversight of multiple residential facilities for individuals with disabilities ranging from 18-65 years of age.
Ms. Rivers also has experience in working with children and families that have transitioned into the foster care system, as well as children that have been adopted through the Department of Children and Family Services. In addition, she has worked with individuals in addressing a variety of needs in relation to stress management, self-injurious behaviors, relationship matters, self-esteem, trauma, life transitions and goals, and the LGBTQ+ community.
Ms. Rivers focuses on building connections with clients in order to facilitate a positive working relationship utilizing empathy and active listening. She is passionate about providing a safe and nurturing environment in which clients can work towards achieving their full potential.
